Publication Ethics

Research Journal of Language and Literary Studies follows the publication ethics and malpractice policies as outlined by committee on publication ethics (Committee on Publication Ethics, COPE) (publicationethics.org). Adherence to the regulations on publication ethics provides protection of authors’ intellectual property right, credibility of a journal in the eyes of international scientific community and excludes the possibility of illegal use of author’s materials for the benefit of particular persons. The reviewing and publication processes of the Research Journal of Language and Literary Studies follow the following ethics:
Publication decision
Publication decision will always be based on the originality of the research and importance of the work for the readers and researchers. The Editor will not be involved in the decision about the paper, in which he/she has a conflict of interest. The Editor will be guided by the journal policies under the umbrella of COPE, and will be responsible for final decision. Editor will be assisted by associate editors or reviewers to reach final decision.
Fair play
The Editor will assess submitted manuscript on academic merit solely, regardless of authors’ ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, nationality or political views.
Confidentiality
The Editor, the Editorial Board members and Editorial staff are responsible for confidentiality of information about the submitted manuscript except authors, referees, editorial board adviser and publisher.
Disclosure and Conflict of interests
Unpublished data from submitted manuscripts must not be used by the Editor, the Editorial Board members or Editorial staff for personal advantage or be transferred to third parties (without written consent of the authors).
Accepted papers are published under Open Access route, authors’ copyrights are reserved.
The Editor will not publish the material if it is found to be plagiarized, fabricated and falsified.
Complaints during peer review process
The Research Journal of Language and Literary Studies welcomes complaints from authors in order to resolve issues and improve the policies for satisfaction of authors. Authors may send complaints to editor ([email protected]) and members of advisory board of the journal.
Complaints may result from:
1. dissatisfaction regarding the publication and policies of the journal.
2. long delay in publication or replies to the author.
3. the decision of the editorial board member or editor regarding the manuscripts of the author.
4. rude responses or a misjudgment of the editorial board member.
Following issues may arise during peer review:
1. Complaints from the author.
2. Complaints about plagiarism.
3. Duplicate publication or submitting the article to various journal at the same time.
4. Research results misappropriations.
5. Research errors and fraud.
6. Violations of research standards.
7. Conflicts of interest.
8. Biased behavior of reviewers.
